What topics will the surveys cover?
The surveys and discussion will cover a wide variety of topics. Such topics might include new energy related technology like smart thermostats, smart appliances, and electric vehicles, new or existing SMUD programs or services, electricity rates or programs to benefit our community.

How do I participate in SMUD Power Voice surveys?
As a SMUD Power Voice member, all you have to do is watch your email (or Facebook notifications) for survey invitations. Based on the profile you provided during registration, we'll invite you to participate in surveys we think you'll be interested in/qualified for. You are never obligated to participate.

I received a survey that is best answered by a different employee at my company. What should I do?
Some surveys may have a targeted audience. For example, a survey may be intended for a facilities manager or for a key decision maker on energy efficiency investments. In those instances, please contact the SMUD Power Voice administrator by email support@smudpowervoice.com with the contact information and we will resend the survey to the appropriate employee.

Can I use my mobile phone or tablet to participate in surveys or discussions?
Most of the surveys and discussions will be formatted to work on smart phones and tablets; however graphics may be more limited on those devices. We will indicate in the title of the survey or discussion if it is “mobile friendly”.

How frequently do I have to participate?
It is completely up to you! We are planning to have around 2 – 4 surveys or discussions per month, however you aren’t obligated to participate in all of them. There’s no minimum number of times you must participate, but we would love to hear from you at least once a month.

How will my responses to the survey be used?
Your responses, grouped along with responses from other online research community members, will serve as key input into SMUD’s strategic decisions and improvement efforts.

Will my SMUD personal account information be shared with Vision Critical, the company managing SMUD Power Voice?
No. Both SMUD and Vision Critical take customer privacy very seriously. As a result of policies at both companies, Vision Critical does not have access to SMUD customer account numbers, home addresses, payment information and other confidential information – and never will.

Will my name, address or email address be given or sold to anyone outside of SMUD Power Voice?
No. Your responses to surveys or your name, address or email address will not be given or sold to anyone outside of SMUD Power Voice. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information by clicking here.

What if I leave my company or position?
Another employee at your company can represent your organization on SMUD Power Voice. Email the SMUD Power Voice at support@smudpowervoice.com administrator alerting them of the change. Then, the new employee will register as a new member.

Can I recommend SMUD Power Voice to other businesses?
Absolutely! Send the business the link to the portal, www.smudpowervoice.com and ask them to click on the “Not a Member?” button on the portal page. Please note the business must be a SMUD customer.

How do I know if I won a drawing?
Vision Critical will conduct the monthly drawings and members will be notified by email. Winners will also be asked if they would be willing to have their photo or a short quote shared on the SMUD Power Voice member portal.

My company will not allow me to accept prizes or honorariums. Can I donate the drawing prize?
Amazon.com maintains a list of charities’ wish lists. Simply go to Amazon.com and search for the name of a charity and “wish list”. You may purchase something on the wish list or donate the gift card.
